"Stars and Stripes" no more..her name is "Rio"
After much discussion with my friends in and around the Hobie community I have decided not to repaint the white hulls of my '88 Turbo 14 in the America's Cup yacht "Stars & Stripes" paint scheme. The hulls are in mint condition and don't even have any scratches, so there would be no reason to repaint them. I have decided to name her "Rio" and put some real nice pin-striping on the hulls along with the name. She's gonna get all new cleats and sheets as well as re-anodizing all… Continue

New Hobie parts!
Today is Christmas for me!! I ordered some cool Hobie Cat stuff for the "Yellow Cat" from my local Hobie dealer, Time Out Sports here in Chucktown. Here's what I got:
Anti-pitch pole hydrofoils- I can't wait to try them out!
Mast Stepper 2 and winch- make my life easier.
Main sheet overboard protector for my trampoline- yes, because I AM that lazy!
and a wind indicator- mounts under my turbo jib furller.
